Wyeast 2633 Oktoberfest Blend Yeast

Yeast was shipped without an ice pack in August and didn’t swell once I activated it. I’m assuming it was killed during shipping. After two days of no activity in fermenter I co pitched a Saflager to get my fermentation going so I’m guessing the majority came from the Saflager if any of the original survived. Will find out how it tastes two months from now when I’m done lagering

Norhtern Brewer is the BEST brewing supplier out there, MY opinion matters!! 10 years plus and i have no reason to offer other than 5 Stars to any part of any reviews. My questions have been answered quickly and accurately. Any help needed to the brewing process has been addressed with WOW performance. I will continue to tell brew newbies and brew friends of the need to connect with Northern Brewer early and often in their learning and brewing future. The batch of Octoberfest is going to disappear from my keg/tap soon, even though we are now into the 'consume inside to stay warm' early part of winter. 14 deg F. here now. I have a 5 of a NB Wheat hooked into tap B, and it goes down just as great as the Octoberfest. All of my Beer Brew Gear is washed and sanitized and ready to start up a couple of more batches. Yes Virginia, Santa does like a Cold Stout/Lager/Ale/Pils, etc. Cookies and a Good Brew, Heck YES!!!!! Happy Holidays to All who Home Brew.. jim

Great product

The best Oktoberfest yeast so far. This is a good product, like all the other yeast packets break the pouch and let sit for 3 hours before use, it just works faster that way.
