Still the best!!

Lots of options these days but still the best overall imo. User-friendly, tough, bees love them and thrive in them. Very well thought out all the way around.

I like Apimaye Hives

All my hives are Apimaye. My bees survive the winter. I don't have to buy a new package every year like with wood hives. Don't have to paint. Don't have to repair. I think the medium supers may be better because the deep super is darn hard to pick up when it is full. They are expensive. I need 2 productive years to pay off the cost of a hive. But I don't think they will ever wear out. I do wish the door was bigger. I have so many bees they can't all get in the door at night.

Easy to use and so well built!

I’ve enjoyed slowly building up my arsenal of Apimaye mediums to phase out my wood mediums as they need replacing. My only attempt to use a combo of wood and Apimaye didn’t go well in the spring, so I was glad to see that they’ve come out with a line for that. For me, I’m happy to have all Apimaye and all wood hives within my apiary, with the goal of all Apimaye in years to come. I love how the boxes fit together, and as a 54 year old female with some hint of arthritis, I love the leverage that I get with the handles. I handles these boxes better than my wood mediums, without a doubt.
