Very good - with some caveats
Pros: practice in drawing ceramic, folded material, AND beautiful fruit with a glorious array of colors skilfully managed. I felt challenged in the right way as a near-beginner. Cons: some errors ( shd say 'Beige sienna' not 'burnt sienna' on p3; identical illustration for steps 15 & 16 by mistake). And I found steps 4 & 5 unhelpful on producing the background, which didn't turn out well for me tho I have the very pencil she advises to use. I could have used more guidance on pressure and pencil strokes. Other notes: this was my fault, but you evidently do need to use the smooth, white paper she recommends to do justice to the bowl and maybe the sheen of the fruit. But still, other than the background and my husband's insistence that the fruit was apples, I did produce a picture I really like!! after laboring over it, and I esp. love the way she picks up on e.g. the colored light hitting one plum from another...this is where doing these tutorials gives you a lovely insight into the way artists see things and interpret what they see by exaggerating effects one might never even have noticed. In general, I'm finding Prismas a bit frustrating to work with because they break so easily, can be tricky to sharpen, and then lose their point in an instant, but since so many of these tutorials use them, it was worth buying the big set nonetheless.
