I would do it again

I was excited to get the new taller windscreen. I did not expect it to have a flip away curve along the top profile. It was an easy, exact fit install, at a great price, and awesome customer service. Riding the bike after the install, I have mixed feelings. The taller profile is just what I was looking for in terms of protection. Much better protection from wind, no more helmet buffeting at speed. Now the bad. The curve along the top that makes the "flip away" is right in the riders natural sight line. It definitely takes some getting used to. It distorts the riders view. Not good. I find myself looking around the edge of the windshield particularly in curves to insure that I have a clear un-obstucted view. All things considered, I would probably have installed the the screen if I knew about the contour before purchase. Ultimately it makes for great road protection. If you are a local only rider (I am not) I would say that it is not a necessary addition. Best of both worlds would be a quick change option, so you could adapt the bike to whatever situation you find you are facing. All in all I am happy with my purchase and experience!

Customer service was excellent. The material was great. The holes were spot on. Height options were provided and selected. No width was provided in the illustration, but I guessed (since it was a replacement screen for my 2014 Moto Guzzi 1400 California touring) that the width would be the same or similar to OEM. The width is much narrower and wind protection is not what I had expected.
