Honda Rebel 1100T Bagger 2023-26 Windshield - Version 2

The new Version 2 windscreen is great! I wanted a screen that was a bit shorter then the 15. 5" tall version and the team was very helpful to build a 14" tall screen for me with venting. The installation was very easy and the installation video answered any questions I had before starting the install. Very well designed and after 300 miles with this windscreen, I can say it works as advertised.

1000 Mile Test Ride

I have installed the Type 2, 12-1/2” Vented windshield on my 2023 Honda Rebel 1100 Tourer DCT and finished a 1000 mile test ride. Installation was very easy and required only a ball end hex key and an open end wrench. Takes perhaps one-half hour. My ride answered several questions. What happens with those vents in heavy rain? I was surprised to find that I did not feel any significant water whistling through and smacking me. Same with bugs. I killed a million on the windshield and did not find any on my jacket. Somehow the air flow through the openings dissipates before it hits you. Good design. The coverage, especially the extra width, kept the wind blast off of my chest, neck and head. I have also installed Memphis Shades lowers, which contributes to the protection. Getting the height right is a bit tough. I am 5’7” tall with 29” inseam, so I sit a bit tall for my height. I am using the somewhat higher Deluxe seat and 2” Rox risers tilted back. I insist on looking over the windshield for best rain visibility, and the 15-1/2 shield was a bit tall. The 12-1/2 is an inch or so shorter than perfect, but I got only minor wind blast on the top of my helmet at speeds up to 85mph. The windshield was stable with only minor corner flutter at speed. My conclusion? Totally adequate, but I would like a 14” height if I had it to do again. Everyone’s ideal height is different.

Great Windshield

Winsdhield fit was very good except my brake fluid resevoir was in the way a little and I took a Dremel and ground a little on the winshield and its OK. The windshield does an excellent job of wind and bug protection.
