Great system!
The backing plates make mounting both synthetic from different manufacturers and natural sharpening stones on Nano hone bases and sink bars straightforward. The entire system provides rapid interchange of stones, stability, cleanup, and rotation during use. The adhesive is easily reversed with solvent in minutes if required. While individually carved wood supports probably are a bit more aesthetically pleasing for natural stones, the entire system works particularly well for portable applications or temporary or tight spaces (and even the wood supports can be mounted to the sink bar with an auxiliary coupling!). Elegant and purposeful design!
