Gesshin Synthetic Natural Finishing Stone

One of my favorites!

Second time buying this stone! It's really my 'daily driver' Has great feedback when sharpening, cuts fast but leaves a nice finish. Plays well with other stones as well if you are going in for a longer sharpening session.

Fantastic finishing stone

I wanted a finishing stone that gave me a bit more bite than my 6000, and after talking with Jon I decided to get this one. It's soft and wears a bit quicker than some of Jon's other stones, but it's a huge stone to compensate. Because it's very soft, it can gouge somewhat easily if you aren't careful. It cuts moderately fast, feels creamy and smooth, and leaves a fantastic edge with a good combination of refinement and bite. As per Jon's recommendation, I permasoak mine, and it's quickly become one of my favorite finishing stones.

Amazing edge

I got this as a sort of middle stone between my 2k and 6k after talking with Josh and getting his recommendation. The edge off this stone is my new favorite edge. It's sharp enough to smoothly cut circles and doodles in paper just like my 6k edge and toothy enough to slash tape without applying any pressure just like my 2k edge. It's the best of both worlds as far as I can tell. Feel and feedback are both excellent and cutting speed is enough that I can see myself using this as a one stone solution for touchups on knives that I like to keep extra sharp. This stone is absolutely massive.
