The magnolia arrived slightly damaged. I didn’t think anything of it and planted it right away. I put it in the perfect spot and followed all given directions. It died within three months. I thought it was dormant until I checked the bark. It wasn’t flexible and was very dry. So unfortunate to have spent so much time and money, only to never get to enjoy this. Maybe one day, but not from this company. Their fertilizers and tree stakes are great though. I just don’t trust their live plants, and they are also much more expensive than similar and better options from other companies.
I purchased it in February of this year and received it in April. There was no more danger of frost and I noticed it stopped growing leaves in late June. A week after July fourth it had no leaves left and was bone dry. I watered it often, made sure it received enough sunlight and the soil couldn’t be better. I suppose it just wasn’t meant to be.
