One Step Paint | Palm Beach

Shade was exactly what I had hoped for. This is my first time using chalk paint. I found that it went on smoothly and dried very quickly. A second coat could be applied within 30 minutes of the first coat, allowing the project to finish quickly.

I gave a lift of cheerful color to my tired brown sling chairs on the patio. I used 3 coats of Amy Howard’s Palm Beach ( a sunny lemon yellow) on the sling fabric, applied with a narrow brush at edges and the plump brush for the rest of the fabric. Prior to painting the fabric, I masked the fabric and sprayed the metal parts with Rustoleum 2X in Moss Green.

I like it a whole lot more than what it was originally. Bright, sunny and happy.
