Great entry point into home espresso drinks!
Great entry level point into higher quality coffee at home. One button espresso + milk drinks whenever you want it without leaving the house. Yes!!!

Refurbished Gaggia Anima Prestige
This is the second Refurbed machine that I have purchased from Wholelattelove, and the third Gaggia machine I’ve owned. The brand is excellent especially when combined with the customer service of Wholelattelove. I don’t consider myself a coffee expert, but I like whole bean coffee. The Anima Prestige allows me to make espresso shop drinks at home for a fraction of the cost of a coffee shop. I can use the beans I prefer and the milk frother is a game changer! I absolutely love this machine.

Pleased with the machine, but I'm an idiot
It (so far) is a really great espresso machine. I purchased a refurbished model and other than the packaging it looks to be completely brand-new. If this is used and reconditioned then I've never seen a refurbishing department as good as the one at Gaggia! But - I clearly have a reading-comprehension issue. I was so enamored with the function and ease of use I completely overlooked that this is, at heart, and espresso machine - it's not a "coffee maker". And that's on me. While I like the fancy milk drinks, and this does make an exceptional (and consistent) espresso, in my day-to-day life I wanted a machine I could stick a mug under, double-tap a button, and get a full cup of coffee. I am coming off 11 years with 2 Saeco machines, and both had what I thought was a fairly standard mode to make long-pull coffees. All that said - I can get a mug with three pulls, but it's just more fiddly than I'd like (and takes a minute longer) But there is much to love here - bean dispenser access, and (large) water reservoir that I can fill without removing it (seriously - any machine that has you constantly pulling a tank in and out fill is an epic fail, and will end up leaking far sooner than one like this where I can leave the tank for weeks). I can't speak for other machines in comparison but this is by far the quietest machine I've owned - the grinder can barely be heard. The brew group seems very well integrated - I don't get dust, water, or coffee all over the place. Access to the drip and grounds tray is an ideal design. Buying from WLL was super easy - they delivered it quickly and kept me informed via email the entire time. So; overall, I recommend this highly - just remember you're not buying a coffee maker ;)
