Japan: Shouraku Matcha

Upon opening, Shouraku was quite fragrant with nutty and sweet notes immediately, followed with a vegetal scent that was like a heavy, dewy grass. As usucha, the taste was nutty, savory, creamy, silky, and buttery. Impressively and extremely enjoyable. After the sweet pairing, those notes became more intense. Alternatively, it makes a lovely latte, but it doesn't need milk and sweetener to enjoy. Currently one of my favorites. Love how freshly milled it was.

The best Matcha that I’ve ever tasted. The vibrancy of the color is amazing and it has such a sweet, gentle smell that I’ve never smelt in any Matcha before. It smells like I was actually in the field of tea leaves. 10 out of 10 is my score for this matcha. I will definitely purchase again.
