My new Synik 30 has become the talk of campus! Having an item that can stand out at a place like Columbia University in the City of New York is a statement in itself! I’m always getting asked about it and I love telling students about Tom Bihn! From the hit HBO series The Pitt, to the quad at Columbia, to the streets of Manhattan; this is a backpack that gets around with style!

New favorite bag from a guy who has one of everything...

This is truly my favorite bag of all time, and I feel like my review has some merit being that I have so many bags and backpacks that my wife has instituted a "one in, one out" policy. I worked retail many moons ago and know the value of high quality fabrics stitching and - most importantly - bomb proof zippers. This bag has them all and is the perfect size for every day use and carry on. The zippers are what bring us all back to Tom Binh and it is funny that I'm such a nerd that they are my favorite part of the backpack. Great color, comfort, and the number of pockets is just right for keeping things organized without disappearing in the bottom of the bag. I've carried Mystery Ranch, Tumi, Yeti, Peak Design, and others and this is hands down the best of the bunch. Very thoughtful design , location, and size of each pocket and it is like all my gear has a place its own. I've gotten a couple of comments asking about the bag while I travel with it, something that's never happened before. Pretty funny that other folks were so interested that they stopped me to ask about it!
