Buy a javelin or from a different company

PT 18 sucks, got it for work. Thing doesn't turn off unless you leave it alone for half an hour. Whole thing is cheap, Magnet isn't strong enough to hold it up. It has a clip on the prob cover to attach to your clothes but it's upside down and if it's upside down it's just going to fall out after a while.

I was asked to review the product despite them taking over 3 weeks to even begin shipping it

I ordered the PT-18 series in Wasabi Green on 10/03/2022. I spent an additional $10 for expedited shipping, as I was startng a new job and wanted a more portable meat thermometer. On the order confirmation email, it said allow up to 2 business days for the order to be shipped. I understand staffing issues are rampant across all industries, but if I spend an additional $10 on expedited shipping, why did my package not begin to be shipped until 10/20/2022? Oh, because it was fulfilled by Amazon. If I had known LavaTools was an Amazon fulfillment shop, I would have gone with the ThermoWorks brand instead, despite it being a few times the price of the lava tools thermometer.

Awesome, easy to use reads temp fast and accurately. Painfully slow shipping through Amazon, even though I ordered direct from the company.
