Raclette Grill works well but granite top not hot enough

Great quality non stick cheese trays, melts cheese perfectly and quickly. Granite top is good looking and keeps the Raclette Grill nicely in place. However the top doesn’t get hot enough to sear/grill meat or shrimp on it
