Love this raclette grill BUT...

Love this raclette grill BUT the cast iron grill plate is extremely difficult to clean. I have only used the grill once and ended up ordering a granite grill top to use with it moving forward. I seasoned the cast iron grill plate as instructed but was left with a big mess after simply grilling sliced marinated vegetables. The cast iron is textured and lint from your cleaning cloth etc adheres to the surface creating a frustrating clean up experience.
