A bit skeptical

Must admit that I haven’t yet actually used the crampon as we haven’t received snow. But fitting my LeSportiva Trang boots on the Trail Pro crampons it’s obvious that the crampon will not lock down on the toe of the boot. In other words to push the boot all the way forward so as to make contact with the two front contact points of the crampon the front of the crampon ends up being two or three inches back behind the toe where it should be. If you place the heel of the boot at the very back stop area of the crampon you end up having a gap at the front of the crampon where the boot does not make contact by about a quarter of an inch on both sides of the boot. This of course leaves the boot to “float” at the toe area without anything to prevent it from moving. Again I add that haven’t as yet used the crampons but this issue is of course problematic.
