Overall Nice Device But Definitely Not Necessary

I initially ordered this with my espresso machine and other accessories. It is nice and does its job, but totally not necessary. Had I known that then, I might not have purchased. Once you test your water and use the manufacturer’s chart for capacity, you can just go by time in use. You can do the math to estimate how much water you use per week on average. Then you can simply replace based on time in use. I highly doubt many users would exceed volumes within the 6-month suggested replacement period anyway. That would require a lot of water. One note that was a bit frustrating: the manufacturer requires the meter to be installed horizontally bit the filter kit ships with a 90-degree elbow, which would result in horizontal installation. WLL sells the straight connectors separately but they should really be included in the kit. User interface of the meter LCD unit is a little cumbersome but reading the manual will get you through it. Nothing hi tech about this mechanical meter but once it’s set up, it does its job.
