Works but...
JG fittings are well-tested and easy to use, but IMHO and my experience they can leak, especially when they are subjected to repeated movement, like when you change the filters. And if you need to transition from plastic tubing to metal compression fittings (which you'll have to do to connect to your house plumbing and machines), you'll need to use plastic ferrules at the compression fittings and that can be a point of weakness even if done right. I suppose that's OK if you keep an eye on everything. I certainly wouldn't trust the connections in concealed locations. I discuss a solution in my review of the BWT Filter head. It would be nice if WLL stocked these brass adapters as an option for those who prefer to use them. The installer will need to use Teflon pipe tape and care to avoid cross threading, but the connection will IMHO be more secure than what you get with JG and plastic pipe.

Makes life easier
This little adapter made our install way easier- used it to come out of the BWT filter and get to 3/8" tubing so we could use John Guest fittings for the rest of the project and to split the line out to the fridge. Worked perfectly.
