TPU Tubes

First time I've bought one of these and I'm carrying it on my mountain bike as a backup. Super light and compact, so that's great. Never actually used it, so that part remains to be seen.

They nailed it

I have been using TPU tubes since they were available on the market, starting with the orange brand… I had issues with the other brands jumping in and the plastic valves was part of the problem. I like what Silca is offering in therms of metal valve and the fact that I can use the same tube for road and gravel (40 mm tires). I can just buy one tube and use it when I need it in my 2 sets of wheels.

I was shocked how noticeably different these feel in comparison to traditional butyl tubes. A huge increase in smoothness and my bike just feels zippier. Eaay to install and the quality lf the valves is outstanding (even the valve caps are better than most). These will be my go to tubes forever. Even when I have tubeless, ill carry a couple of these just jn case.
