Grim reality is good. That is the grim reality.

This is good. I like the tiered system to customize it to the playstyle and party. It reaches back to AD&D (2nd ed.) and Dragon Magazine when play mechanics were all laid out for things like critical hits, misses, and wilderness survival. I look forward to using this for the campaign I am DMing, which is set in Icewind Dale. Much better take on cold environment survival than 'gain a level of exhaustion'.
