Game: 5/5 This was my first TTRPG, and while the rules initially took some time to learn, they became intuitive after a few scenes. The game includes a helpful example playthrough and supports four genres: noir, fantasy, horror, and sci-fi. Using a deck of cards and two six-sided dice, players uncover a mystery through oracle tables and scene creation. The deduction elements are loosely reminiscent of Cluedo, but the experience is far more narrative-driven. I especially enjoyed journaling scenes like a story, and the game works well both solo and multiplayer. Hardcover Rulebook: 4.5/5 The hardcover rulebook feels premium, with thick glossy pages and beautiful binding. However, the sturdy pages make it harder to lay flat and quickly navigate during play. Personally, I would have preferred a more flexible paperback edition.

A fun system that solves a problem.

This is a great system that solves one of the biggest problems Ive had with doing mystery games especially solo for years. Ive not gotten to get fully involved yet with it. But I highly recommend it to anyone on the fence. Its a lovely addition to the collection.
