Half the plants survived

Within 2 days half the plants started to shed leaves and die. The plants that’s still alive looks wonderful and thriving. But what a mess the dead plants made in my tank!!! The photo is right after the plants arrived. The lighter green colored plant on top is the one that made a horrible mess in my tank as it shed all its leaves. I believe the plant is not healthy when it arrived by its coloring but I wasn’t sure, so I did not contact company in the allotted 2hrs after delivery. By the time I was confident it was not well it was to late to contact for a replacement.
