Cardinal Swiss Chard
Would you believe this chard, planted in a large pot on my sunny balcony made it through all the heat dome weeks (around 100 degrees) in the Midwest? I have been eating it all summer and, barring hard frost, will continue to do so all fall. I give the pot a good drink of water each late afternoon and that’s it! This is the easiest chard to grow!

Dependable Swiss Chard
Always germinates well, freezes well, beans and green soup all winter, burritos with sausage, I grow double row with 8-10 inches between. Pick large leaves and it will produce well into late fall. And it will start growing again in the spring!
