Easy!!
I’ve grown these for 3 years now, and get close to 100% germination every time. Started on 3/2 and all having blooming for almost 2 weeks inside while I delayed outdoor planting due to this cold wet May. They grew great previously in my poor soil, but I will add compost this year (guess I never read the full planting directions before, but they still did great regardless).

Bonfire
I had some problem with a handful of these that wilted up. I am not certain of the cause. The others look good. I like the red color. My garden is in Southern California.

Started flowering even before I set them out into the garden
Super impressed with these. This is my first year using salvias, and they couldn't have been easier. I started in CowPots under lights the first week in March, and by the time I put them into the garden on April 30th, about half of them had already started blooming. I am using these to attract hummingbirds, and had enough to put in several clumps throughout the garden, as well as to fill a planter. I'll come back at the end of the season to update on how well they performed, but hopes are high!
