Double Camelia Mix Balsam

New to me but enjoyable

I planted the seeds mId-spring in North Ga, USA. This was my first time growing them, and they obviously took forever to come up for me, because I had forgotten what it was that I planted there and had to look up the flowers by image. They’re certainly very attractive, and I’ll be planting these again next year for sure. But I think I was expecting something more like a shrub. Still, my kids enjoy them, and I’ve gotten several compliments about how pretty they are. This is a very leafy plant with flowers starting below the leaves. When they finally bloom, they are worth the wait. Mine are planted in part shade (an area of the garden where they get mostly indirect sunlight for most of the day) but they are still doing very well.
