SVS Subwoofers

It was a pleasure dealing with Aamir at Summit HiFi. I don’t normally buy AV components online sight unseen but Aamir made the experience seamless, even calling me to keep me updated on the shipping timeline. Shipping only took 10 days from Ontario to Alberta. I love my dual SVS PB-3000’s!! They sound fabulous for music and really make movie watching an entirely engaging experience. My home theatre has never sounded so good. I would certainly recommend buying from Summit HIFi.

Perfect sub for my setup

First of all I am glad I went with Summit HiFi... Amir and his buddy personally delivered this sub to my house... great service! This sub replaces a Paradigm Servo 15v2 that gave up the ghost after almost two decades of service. I am using it 50% for watching movies and 50% listening to music. I was surprised because when compared to the Servo 15v2, this sub has more impact and actually plumbs the depths more even though the driver is smaller on the PB-3000 (13.5" vs 15"). I listen to a variety of music (heavy metal, jazz, rap, alternative, classic rock) and the PB-3000 is a great complement to my setup. It integrates very well with the bookshelf monitor speakers I am using along with the buttkicker transducers on my chair... I currently have it setup with the ports open. I will have to try it in sealed mode one of these days. The sub came with two foam inserts which can be used to plug the ports. I also find the SVS app very handy... I programmed music to have a gain of -10db (default setting) and movies -13db respectively. The app makes it very easy to switch modes from the comfort of my seat. There are other parameters which I have not explored yet as I am happy with mostly default settings. After almost a month of daily usage, I am very satisfied with this sub... Highly recommended to anyone looking to increase their movie and/or music enjoyment.
