Can't remember the many years ago I bought my first set of these! Actually, the six I bought this year are still in the box because my old ones were still usable. Wyoming weather runs so hot and cold most if the summer, and these protect from those quick temperature changes early in the growing season. My little petunias have gotten so beautifully big, I can no longer stuff them into the cloches! These covers are like a tiny greenhouse. They have four holes around their edge, which I use groundscaping staples to secure into the soil. I highly recommend this product.
