Our favorite pumpkin (zone6a)
I haven't grown this variety in over a decade, however I always purchase it at the pumpkin patch each year since it is a sensational cooking pumpkin, especially for soups, pies and ravioli filling. So far we will have an entire years worth of pumpkins but we lost a lot to squash bugs, so I will have to grow under covers next season. Initially the germination was a little erratic, but once the weather warmed all was well. I grew this with drip irrigation and cardboard mulch which seemed to help.

Such a delicious, heavy producer!
With only two plants I had six giant, very tasty pumpkins! They were the hit of the garden, because I donated my extra seedlings to our community children’s garden, and they were able to give them to the children and families who gardened there. They are very smooth and deep orange fleshed. Wonderful eating!

Cindarella couldn't do better! Zone 9b, Northern California
I bought these seeds for my home garden and started a few for myself and friends using heat mats and grow lights. The seeds all germinated and the seedlings were healthy and pretty. I transplanted my seedlings into my home garden about two weeks ago. So far, the vines look great! They're sturdy, healthy and green. The vines haven't flowered yet, but so far, I'm very pleased with the plants.
