Wow, These Plants Are Huge!
Had a little trouble getting started, but once I got them to start growing this variety of okra has done very well in Indiana, zone 6. As a matter of fact, the plants are huge, and I container garden! The variety we grew in Alabama did not get this big! I have 3 plants in a 20" pot! They are producing great yields, too! The Jambalaya okra is also mighty tasty!

Up State NY Jambalya Okra
First time growing this variety. Used a 30 in raised bed to raise soil temps etc and they grew quite large and were very productive. I purchased them last minute so there was some catchup on this season and had my doubts but they did great. This yr they will be started indoors early with everything else and I’m predicting an even better yeild.) just an observation : when the temps got cold this fall the leaves fell off but it seemed the stems green kept them producing for several weeks after.
