Canoe peas were the first pea strain I tried in my above ground box garden, and everything was great! I decided to use trellises for the peas to climb up, which turned out to be a pretty good idea with this particular strain. The peas produced were large, sweet and had a large pea to pod ratio. What I didn’t know was that Canoe peas from Territorial Seed Company was going to be my wife and my favorite. We have since experimented with over five other pea types and am going back to Canoe sweet peas for our fall/spring harvest. I feel like I am done experimenting with other pea strains as Canoe from Territorial Seed Company is now my go to sweet pea.

More bang for the buck
This is my 2nd year of growing this pea variety. There is a lot of bang for the buck, as the pods grow to 5" length and just about every seed germinated for me. Good flavor and nice large peas, to boot!
