Germinates great! Jury's out on palatability as forage
Very pleased with how well this alfalfa germinated in less-than-perfect soil. I had a hardpacked area that was used to start several rounds of young livestock, and wanted to plant something in late summer to help aerate the soil and provide forage for the critters.
The alfalfa grew well, but when grown the goats wouldn't touch it...while they gobbled down bales of dry alfalfa. Seems my spoiled goats didn't approve of the taste.
Would definitely grow again as a cover crop, but probably not for forage.
