Moulard Duck Breast

A fantastic splurge

My significant other and I were competing against each other in a cooking contest for our anniversary. I was absolutely determined to cook duck breast. I called every store local to my area, even places an hour away with no luck. I Googled reputable online shops for duck and found Meat N Bone. The buying process was so easy, and the meat arrived exactly on time still frozen. I was able to transfer the meat from it's packaging and keep it in the freezer until I needed to thaw it. The meat was perfect, cooked beautifully, and won the bragging rights of being the winning protien for our contest. We cannot wait to place another order from their array of meat choices. (Included an obligatory photo of my dish and his-blackened tuna steaks with a mango salsa)

A good duck breast is difficult to find and these are excellent. The Moulard duck is a meaty variety with a nice fatty skin. Really delicious and easy to prepare. I simply use the pan-sear method and it comes out very nice.
