Berseem clover-cover crop

I recently purchased the berseem clover as a cover crop. The beauty of the seed was that it was very easy to sow and within 4-5 days it was growing. It covered the area where I sowed it. It also continued growing through our light frosts. Now with the heavy cold and frosts it has wilted, but I see it was a really good green manure this spring. I recommend it for back yard gardeners.

Not thrilled with how sparce the clover came up. Disappointing really.

Excellent cover crop

I use this clover as winter cover after picking things like onions, corn, and other crops that are done by late August. Next Spring I will turn it under. This germinated well and was pre-innoculated so will fix nitrogen well.
