Indigo™ Rose Tomato

Unique tomato, every garden should have at least one

I have grown this tomato for the last three years in a public display garden. The plant grows pretty tall. It always has an abundance of tomatoes. Garden guests are always amazed by "the purple tomato." My only criticism is you cannot determine ripeness by the color. Sometimes there is a red blush or give it a little squeeze.

Indigo Rose is a prolific producer. I love its unique look and also the fact that they are loaded with antioxidants. I am delighted that I can buy them through Territorial Seed as they are virtually impossible to find in my area. This was a very difficult season due to extremes in weather conditions, but my plants did not fail me and I routinely plant them every year knowing they will produce a bumper crop. The tomatoes are sturdy and beautiful and are wonderful whether served raw or roasted.

This is my third year enjoying these. They are visually attractive in my garden that is raised and next to the public walkway. My neighbors know to use the provided mirror to check for ripeness before plucking!!
