Big bang for your buck
Do you seek aromatic basil leaves as big as your hand? Do you love basil pesto? I live in Alaska so cannot grow basil outside. Five window boxes of Mammoth Leaf Basil flourish in the intense summer sun, producing many cups of sweet basil pesto that I freeze and use all winter or give away as gifts to those worthy. I get two harvests out of one crop. You can cut all the leaves off, process, and then the leaves grow back for another harvest. From a tiny seed grows the biggest and tastiest basil ever!

This is some BIG basil
These seeds had a very germination rate. They quickly grew to an enormous size. The plants are all surfing a four-day heat dome of 100° weather. In fact, they seem to like it!

Best. Basil. Ever.
I’ve grown Territorial’s Mammoth Basil from seed for more than 10 years. It has intense flavor that stands out in pestos and sauces. I love it in so many recipes - especially gazpacho. I freeze it and dry it for year-round use and it holds its flavor well. I give gifts of Mammoth seed to friends and family.
