Installation Video Inaccuracies & Product Limitations
When I tried to install the second gear shown on your installation video, the hole on my chair had a dowl pin welded into the hole. I had to use a die grinder and drill to bore out the hole. Its very frustrating you don't include the caveats at to what models the kit works for. Also, your installation video has inaccuracies in it.

Tutorial video was really helpful

Ordered Monday, got it Wednesday, installed it, enjoying sitting on it!
The staff at Crandall did a great job helping me to determine that I could upgrade my older Aeron classic chair. They deserve all 5 stars on this one. So, I got the 3-paddle upgrade kit and turned my basic Aeron into a more full-featured one. The kit actually only has two paddles in it! That's because the chair has one on it already (height adjustment), so now it has the full complement of 3. It now can lock in several tilt positions, and also it can lock in a tilt-forward position which is very helpful for my computer and desk configuration.
Anyway, the installation video was very helpful, although there were a couple of tricky points. One was that my chair had an extra part zip-tied inside the clamshell. That was weird. Took it off. Another was that the one gear has two variations, and the video did not seem to explain that. I had to figure it out based on the fact that there was a metal peg sticking out instead of a hole. This difference seems to be the guide as to which gear you have to use to complete the installation.
