Outstanding Okra!
Was very pleasantly surprised by these okra plants, they were the stars of my garden this year. Grew them in straw bales and they thrived. I grew roughly 5-6 different types of okra, Candlefire outproduced them all individually and some days even collectively. It's almost October in north Georgia, and they are keep pumping okra out. Currently my plants are 4-5 feet tall & have sturdy stalks that are roughly 2 inches in diameter, i.e. this is not the kind of okra that will have a tendency to blow over in storms, mine resemble small trees. I always grow a variety of okra out of curiousity, but Candlefire will be the primary okra I plant next season due to its manageable size, tender & tasty pods, overall vigor, & high productivity.

Beautiful okra with red pods
This okra is very beautiful. It has red pods and gorgeous flowers. It’s almost too pretty to keep in just a vegetable garden. It taste great once grilled. Just be sure to pick it young and tender.
