Good Machine but Purchase Experience was Poor

Machine has been great once I finally received all the parts to get it running. Service to get missing pipe fitting was poor. Piping requirements were communicated during purchase but the correct size fitting was not sent with machine. When it was sent it shipped through a service that took almost a week to deliver just 50 miles away. Very frustrating for $5k of off-the-shelf equipment

Very capable machine

Was debating between this one and La marzocco and bought it as a value choice alternative to the Micra but in the end it is better than the Micra I have access to in my company. The steam is stronger drier and more consistent. I get the steamed milk with less large bubbles than the milk from Micra. The volumetric dosing is also very very useful. It takes plumbing but that optimize the workflow anyway. Overall it is such an underestimated machine.

I love my La Spaziale Dream, It’s awesome. I’m a coffee nut, My wife not so much, However this is on our counter and easy to use, so even she is experimenting with fun drinks like a Chia Latte and Mochachino’s. I also would buy the Machine again from Chris Coffee. I looked all over and they had the best price and added in a nice scale for free (Labor Day promotion). I got the plumbed in version of the Dream yet I’m not a plumber. I called their support line and they we able to give me a little advice to get it hooked up. However, I would not buy my accessories from them again. The products I got were all good. But I did order a tamper that was the wrong size. I called and asked if I could exchange it for the correct size. I was told I had to return it and then repurchase it. The kicker was I needed to pay a 20% restocking fee. This really irked me. I just spent thousands of dollars with Chris’ and now I needed to pay them to take something out of a box and put it back on the shelf??? I have no problem paying the shipping , waiting for the turn-around, etc, but i need to pay you a restocking fee to exchange something??? I purchased the same Tamper from Amazon for almost $10 less with free shipping and returns. It kindda sucks because I’d much rather support a small business like Chris’ but if they’re going to be petty and Amazon is going to make it easy, it’s a no brainer. Overall I’m very happy with machine and I really want to love Chris’ as a business but for god-sake drop your petty restocking fee!
