SL-AGQUA black beard control
My 125 gal tank had a heavy black beard attack, after years of none, and I tried different methods of control. Nothing was working well until I added drops of the SL product. It started dying after some days of use. It is still good to use once in a while for control.

Five stars - this thing worked immediately
Nitrites were out of control, even after several major water changes. I forgot to vacuum my gravel, so the nitrite kept coming back. It was only after the SL-Aqua NDM did it's job that I figured out what happened. The ceramic block is good for six months, and since there are no more nitrites, I removed it and will save it for another emergency. I'll will be ordering a few more to keep around in case a few of my tanks need immediate nitrite removal at the same time. Btw, I tried Fritz Complete, nitrite remover pads in the filter and other nitrite reducing products but none worked. 90 percent water changes only made a difference for a day - that's how bad it was. I put the SL-Aqua NDM in my tank at night, and tested the tank in the morning. Zero nitrites. This product will pay for itself by not having to replace fish, and save a lot of time doing repetitive water changes. Even with an Aqueon siphon system hooked up to my sink, the amount of effort for all the water changes was way too much. I looked for a similar product by SL-Aqua for ammonia because I just set up a new tank, but they don't make one. I hope someday they do.
