Pilot Custom Urushi Vermillion

I love this pen! It’s my new favorite. I like the size of this and the texture in my hand. Fit and finish are superb. I was hesitant about a cartridge converter at first, with lower capacity than a typical piston filler. But I can make do with its ink carrying capacity. And I do like the pump action to fill it as opposed to twisting a cap while holding a pen in an ink bottle. Only slight dislike is that I discovered this pen at the recent SF International Pen Show. It was the nib (B) that drew me to the pen. It was soft, smooth, and put down a slight italic line. But the pen that I eventually purchased with a broad nib lays down a thicker monoline because it has such a pronounced ball on the nib. All that tipping material results in a thick line with no variation no matter how I rotate or manipulate the angle of the nib to paper. But I can always grind the nib into a cursive Italic. Nevertheless, I love this pen and it is my new favorite. Now I’m considering getting one in black urushi but with the FM nib.
