LAMY Safari Candy Fountain Pen

I want to love it, but I hate it

Definitely feeling buyers remorse, I was told that Lamy Safari was a good pen. I’ve tried Kaweco and Twsbi and love them, but as much as I want to love this pen - it sucks. It’s scratchy, the ink is so inconsistent and dull. I have dollar pens that write better. Not sure if I got a defective one or what. I considered buying a different nib size and converter to use bottled inks thinking maybe that’s the issue, but I don’t want to invest more into it and still be unhappy.

I like this pen. It writes great and is smooth. It has little indentures for your grip and it lines up perfectly.

A great pen for adventures in the world. Simple to clean and service, and LAMY sells pretty good replacement cartridges. Im pretty happy with my purchase, LAMY has never disappointed yet
