No break in time what so ever. I ordered a size 9.5 and they fit perfectly. So comfortable that I have worked 12hr shifts in them without an issue. I absolutely love these Lems Mariner shoes.

They are the shape of my foot
Perfect! It's taken a long time to find shoes the shape of my foot, lol, but here they are. Sizing was spot on. They are comfortable and easy, a perfect Florida shoe, thank you!

Good but needs improvement for narrow feet
I really love these loafers but they just barely work for my narrow feet. I have to tie them pretty tight across the top of my foot and they still slip around enough to rub uncomfortably in a couple of places. I do put them to hard use on concrete floors at my job and on the weekends where there’s a mix of grass, gravel and asphalt, wearing for 6-8 hours at a time. They dry quickly and don’t stain, and they develop a warm glow when you clean them with saddle soap. They are appropriate for business casual and most situations. The cork insole is wonderful and I have no issues with them not being supportive enough. My only suggestion would be to make a version where the laces also tighten around the ankle like some moccasins do so they adjust to fit narrower feet a little better. All in all they are the only loafers I’ve found that work for my narrow feet and extra long middle toe lol. I did size up half a size like I always do with barefoot style shoes.
