This is my first foray into the world of Fountain Pens. I watched the You-tube presentation given by Goulet Pen Co. on The Top 10 Fountain Pens for beginners. The smoothness of the nib going across paper is amazing. Using the Metropolitan Fountain Pen makes you want to slow the act of writing. Focus on clean letters and the flow of putting words to paper. I can't wait purchase other Fountain Pens. Este, or Mont Blanc and experiment with different ink colors.

It is not overly expensive, it writes, what's not to like.

03.16.25 No surprises. I just wanted a fine point, no problems. One minor discrepancy, the cartridge was unusable; clogged near the opening. I tried to extract the clog with a toothpick, but it would not come out. Happy Saint Patrick's Day!
