I am very happy with my Lamy Al-Star

I am very happy with my Al-Star and, as always, with the great Goulet customer service.

I like the pen, but does not work with my waterman inspired blue ink, once it uses up all the ink in the feed it goes dry. I have cleaned the pen, and it works with the black ink from Wordsworth & Black, just does not work with the ink I bought the pen for. I never thought I would have an issue with Waterman inks

Love everything...except the clip

I love that it's a snap-cap. I love the ink window, and the heft of the pen. I love how easy it is to swap nibs, and the range of nib-sizes available, and how smoothly it writes. I even love the grip section, contours and all! Many of my other pens' grip sections are too small for my hands. That clip though! It makes me think of a grade-schooler who lost their permission slip. It really takes away from what would otherwise be a pen I'd be proud to wear.
