Ordered three to try out and kept one (FL 6) to use for my tenor. The mouthpieces are super high quality. The care and craft they put into these is immediately apparent from the packaging to how they play. Wonderful, pro quality mouthpieces! Also, the trial policy was very user friendly.

Great Mouthpiece for Vintage Tenor Sounds

My son leads a jazz octet that is very 1950's/west coast cool style-wise. He had been using an old Meyer 7M on tenor in that group, which had the sound, but tended to get buried due to a total lack of projection. The Morgan Florida fits the bill perfectly- has that vintage sound, but MUCH more volume/projection than the Meyer. It's a keeper!

If a Getz type sound is your thing, you can’t do better than this.

There are lots of Florida Link inspired pieces on the market and I have a few, all of them 5* or 5. I was curious about this Morgan piece. It’s beautifully handcrafted, has a comfortable slim beak and plays evenly through all registers and dynamic including harmonics. I has a good subtone in all octaves and when pushed, has a strong solid core. I’m playing it with a 3.5 Royal on a MK 6. If a Getz type sound is your thing, you can’t do better than this.
