Is good board. The grooves do allow one to cut through the bread without using the bread knife as a saw blade on the board. Just have to cut the bread into the groove which takes a minute to get good at but no more than a minute.

The board is beautiful, the perfect size, and incredibly functional. One side is designed for cutting bread and neatly catching the crumbs, while the other side works great for everyday chopping. Because of the very cold weather, the board arrived slightly warped, but it adjusted back to normal once inside. Overall, a fantastic and versatile board.
