Soles of feet hurt badly

These shoes fit fine, but my soles hurt so bad after wearing them for just one shift. I thought these are famously used by EMTs! I feel sad that I spent so much money on a boot that had such rave reviews only to find out it hurts to wear them and I cannot return them since they’ve been used.
