BT3 Bass Xtender™

This is a great addition. I first heard of it on the Fender Tony Franklin fretless bass but I put one on my Vintage II p bass. It is a great option that is easy to install and use. Oscar at Hipshot was very helpful in making sure I got the one that was right fir me.

Quick shipping, easy installation, stable tuning. What’s not to like? I have Hipshot drop tuners on two other basses, but was not 100% sure the BT3 would fit this bass correctly. The bass is a MIJ Fernandes Revival-series RPB70 from the early 1980’s. It’s a convincing reissue of a 57 Pbass, and I was happy that the BT3 fit perfectly and all screw holes lined right up.

Once I got tuner installed correctly, it was great! After some minor adjustments it drops tuning to low D and returns to right back in tune to E. This is going to be fun, adding some variety to a few tunes!
