Great nut! File off the bottom, rather than the slots, if possible

Replaced the nut on my guitar which had an older TUSQ XL on it that had been adjusted a few times. I was hoping for better tuning stability by using the factory slots as best as possible, by filing/sanding the bottom of the nut to adjust height rather than the slots Tuning stability is definitely improved. Tone was also improved. Though I assume that was largely due to a more snug and precise fit to the guitar nut 'slot'. For a snug fit, I placed small strips of sandpaper on the guitar slot and sanded the nut in place, in case there were any irregularities or the slot was not perfectly square (which it wasn't).

Fit my Jackson JS22.

I love graph tech nuts on my guitars with 2 point or 6 point vintage tremolo. Combined with locking tuners, the extra self lubrication and smoothness of the graph tech nuts really keep everything in tune when using a trem. Good stuff!
