LF 40L

It’s a great pack. All features are excellent except for the metal waste strap buckle. I like that it’s metal but it’s too fiddly to get the thing clipped. The quick release works really well, so unclipping isn’t an issue. But after stopping for a snack, my friends are 20 steps uphill before I finally get the waste belt clipped. This is after lots of practice with it, not just one or two skis with it. Kinda embarrassing. Perhaps a slightly wider opening on the female piece is the solution? Also, a lower price would be great…I’ve tried to convince friends to get the bag and 95% immediately loose interest when they hear the $$$ amount.

Raide Backpack 40 l

Just back from Hauta Route, 6 days with the Raide pack. Greatest pack I have ever used. Light but still good on the back. Even loaded with stuff for 6 days (axe, crampons, ski crampons, harness, ice screws, rope etc)

Well designed and functional

I'm picky about packs. Not too much, not too little. Big enough for guides kit and glacier gear, but compact and shrinkable. I've been looking for a few yrs and finally committed to the a v3 40l. 100% happy with with design and function. Haven't had it long enough to comment on durability.
